Waveplay Ideabank 💡 The Floor That Plays Back
Did you know? 🤓
Our Interactive Floor turns the ground beneath your guests into a playground. Step, stomp and splash through visuals that react in real time.
Here is the idea. We display on the floor, and it notices where people are standing. Step on it and something happens. Splash, ripple, score, reveal.
No controller, no headset, nothing to hold. Just the ground doing something it is not supposed to do, which is exactly why people stop.
Why crowds stop for it?
Because nobody expects the floor to move. That surprise alone buys you a few seconds of attention in a mall, and a few seconds is all you need.
Kids find it first. Every single time. Then the parents stay to watch, take a video, and now your booth has a small crowd in front of it without anyone handing out flyers.
Nobody needs instructions either. You walk on it, it reacts, you understand. There is no host explaining rules and no line waiting for a turn, because several people can play at once.
How we build it around your brands
The visuals are made for you. IKEA used it for a “master organizer” challenge, where shoppers stepped on the right answers on the floor. It fit what IKEA sells and still felt like a game.
We can do that with almost anything. Step on your products. Splash through your campaign colors. Play a quick quiz about what you are launching. Cream Silk used a dance floor version, SM ran a virtual pool, and Mall of Asia had cyber hockey.
Who’s On Board?
IKEA, Huawei, Cream Silk, Cream O, Miniso, Marks and Spencer, Potato Corner, SM Store, Ayala Malls, and Mall of Asia have all had a floor of ours to walk on.
Furniture, phones, shampoo, snacks, department stores.
Everyone has a floor, which means everyone has unused space.
The Ideabank Takeaway 💡
The floor is the one part of your booth you already paid for and probably ignored. It is also the only display people can walk into without being invited.
Three easy ways to make it work harder:
1️⃣ Put it at the entrance, so guests walk into your activation instead of past it.
2️⃣ Make the game about your product, the way IKEA did with organizing.
3️⃣ Let several people play at once, so it pulls a crowd instead of forming a line.
