PH Digicon 2021: PLDT Enterprise Went Fully Virtual

Intending to drive Information Technology (IT) empowerment in the Philippines, PLDT Enterprise hosted the much awaited Philippine Digital Convention 2021 (PH Digicon 2021). It was a three-day virtual convention that happened from October 6 to 8.

Its theme was REVOLUTION, featuring notable speakers and industry experts to headline its plenary sessions and tech leadership forums. The REVOLUTION focused on how businesses can make use of technology to upgrade their operations through digital immersions.  As a result, attendees got an insider view on recreating the way they work things in this new world of business.

PH Digicon 2021: Revolution

The Philippine Digital Convention has been consistent in its effort to help enable establishments to learn new ways of conducting business. Well, thanks to the movers behind this event who have consistently churned out Digicon for the past 7 years. 

Last year, due to the pandemic, a pivot to virtual was the only way to continue with the convention while still keeping the registration free and open to the public. 

However, going virtual did not mean that both the guests and delegates would miss out on fun and excitement. The organizers ensured that a virtual convention would still contain enjoyable and engaging activities to keep the audience entertained. 

This three-day event featured a wide-range of virtual spaces, such as a Networking Lounge, an Exhibit Hall and a Virtual Lobby wherein you can have a 360-degree view of the platform, and Concert Grounds.

In addition, there were also a variety of sessions to choose from such as the tech leadership forums, roundtable discussions, plenary sessions, and fellowship nights.

Prominent Guests Who Joined the Revolution

The PH Digicon 2021 headline speakers and panel of guests are known in their respective fields as distinguished speakers, pioneers in technology, business leaders and global industry experts who willingly shared their invaluable insights and views on transforming the current business environment by embracing innovative changes. 

This year’s celebrity speaker was Charlize Theron. She is a film and TV producer, an Academy Award-winning actress, and UN Messenger of Peace. Joining her for this year’s PH Digicon 2021 are other distinguished guests such as Nicholas Ma of Huawei, John Harrington of Nokia, Yasuo Suzuki of NTT Global Data Center and Dave West of Cisco, among others.
